A restaurant in Montclair says a scam has temporarily forced them to close their doors and change operations.
Coffee & Cornbread posted a message on social media saying a scam drained the funds for their remodeling project.
The eatery said in the post that Sunday will be their last day at the Montclair location on Upper Montclair Plaza. They say they are headed to Belleville and will pivot to doing takeout and delivery orders only. They also say the menu will deliver the same high-quality cuisine.
“This strategic move empowers us to streamline our operations, ultimately leading to lower pricing for our valued customers," the post says.
