A plan intended to ease the lack of parking around Montclair High School is getting mixed grades from students and residents.
The teacher-only parking spaces near the school are now being used by students. Some residents near the school say since the change there has been nothing but trouble in the area. According to residents, the students speed through the neighborhood, are noisy and leave trash behind.
Some students say they have no other choice but to park in the spots due to construction. Township officials are now working to find a solution to the parking problem. The township manager is currently looking into building another parking lot behind the school to alleviate parking issues.
