Monroe Township HS band to perform on Pearl Harbor anniversary
The Monroe Township High School band is leaving Monday to play at the 75th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
The band got a sendoff salute on Saturday.
A band from each state was selected to play at the events surrounding the anniversary.
"I love this country a lot, and having the opportunity to perform for such a prestigious event, it's absolutely mind blowing," says drum major Mitchell Joseph.
The band will perform Armed services medleys, and a series of Patriotic songs.
They will stay in Hawaii until Friday.
The group was actually invited in 2015, and the school has been planning for this ever since.
