A group of Middlesex County students helped raise $1,500 for cancer research at a ‘Pup Rally’ Wednesday morning.
School clubs at the Jonas Salk Middle School helped raise the money for the American Cancer Society.
The pep rally was held to prepare for the upcoming Bark for Life event that is happening April 24 at the Mannino Park in Old Bridge.
The Bark for Life event will be from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
A Relay for Life event will also take place on May 18 from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The organizers say it is their goal to raise $100,000 for the American Cancer Society for all three events combined.
