Dozens of kids spent their time in the classroom today, even though it’s Saturday.
The staff at Williamsburg Bridge Magnet School are partnering with New York Cares volunteers to offer extra learning to kids in the area.
About 40 students are selected each year who have an interest in topics offered like coding, Lego robotics, and even guitar lessons.
Due to its magnet school status, Williamsburg Bridge Magnet School was able to get new technology because it got a federal grant. The federal grant would give the school extra money for materials.
The principal of the school said this program is what makes this school unique, and that this program is something they hope to continue.
