Last-minute shopping for Thanksgiving feast
The Tuesday before Thanksgiving is traditionally one of the busiest days at area supermarkets as shoppers grab last-minute essentials for their holiday dinner.
Theresa Turner, of Spring Lake, looks forward to planning her dinner every year.
"I've been doing it now for probably 12 years so, at least if not more so, it's kind of routine," says Theresa Turner, of Spring Lake. "I just said today is the day to get everything and beat the traffic and then kind of stay home all day Wednesday and cook. That is my favorite thing to do."

Joan Perez makes sure the shelves remain stocked, and the customers stay smiling inside the ACME in Wall Township. It's a tough job. The supermarket remains open all day and all night.

"With the right scheduling, with the right ordering, with having it fresh, full, and clean 24 hours a day so our shoppers are here to be happy, served and leave with what they need," says Perez.

If you still haven't gotten your turkey, the prices have not gone up since last year. They continue to hover around $1.79 a pound.

Store managers say there are plenty of turkeys left, both frozen and thawed, for all the last-minute shoppers.
