Beaches down at the Jersey Shore, including Ocean City, are expected to endure significant beach erosion as Hurricane Dorian inches its way up the eastern coast of the U.S.

But people in South Jersey, and those across the bay, say they are feeling fortunate -- considering the damage that the hurricane has brought to other areas.

"We've lived through Sandy so we can get through this,” says Chris Rochel, of Longport. “This is no problem. My thoughts and prayers for everyone seriously in the path but the waves are going to turn the waters going to come but we're safe and God bless everybody in the path."

Other residents living in Longport, and just a bit north in Margate, have suffered serious damage in the past -- and want no part of another hurricane.
