Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has taken a shot at Hillary Clinton's running mate, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, for doing a terrible job as governor in New Jersey.
Trump said at a Wednesday press conference in Miami that Kaine still isn't popular in New Jersey. Kaine was governor of Virginia.
Trump may have confused Kaine with former Republican New Jersey Gov. Tom Kean, who led the state while Trump was building his casino empire in Atlantic City.
He corrected himself after someone asked if he meant Virginia.
The former New Jersey governor skipped this year's Republican convention because he said he disagreed with Trump on too many issues.
His son, state Sen. Tom Kean Jr., says it's clear Trump misspoke since he was discussing a specific Virginia issue.
