At least a dozen people were lined up this morning, many waiting as early as 6 a.m. They say there was a line going down the block around that time. Many say they've been visiting the office and checking signage on the doors.
They say early last week, the office still had a sign saying it would be opening July 13. But as of the Department of Labor's latest update Saturday, there is not a date set anymore for when they'll be reopening physical offices anytime soon.
“They put a sign the last time,” says Elsie Garie. “I came for the 13, today. We came the 29. I've been coming here five times already. They've all been coming here five times and they keep changing date. It's like they're playing games with us.”
All of the people who showed up today did not get the latest update from the DOL, still thinking the office was supposed to be open today.
