Areas like West Long Branch in Monmouth County were hit hard by Isaias, and no indication when power will be restored.
News 12's Chris Keating was on Locust Avenue where traffic lights are out, along with 80 percent of the houses in town.
Residents lost their power at noon Tuesday and may not have it back for at least three to four days.
The Barbarise family lost power so they are staying with relatives to try and stay cool with their 5-month-old little girl.
"So last night when we realized that it wasn't coming back on, before she went to bed, we went to my parents' house. They're in Wayside and have a generator so their power was running," says Valerie Barbarise.
Gov. Phil Murphy says there are still about 800,000 outages statewide.
