The New Jersey wedding studio that recently left hundreds of couples without photos and videos due to its closure is now facing two investigations and a possible class-action lawsuit.
Melissa Brown is one of the brides who lost thousands of dollars when Celebration Studios shut its doors. Brown is also an attorney who is organizing a class-action lawsuit. She says couples are lining up to take part.
?At this point we?ve processed about 150 and we have e-mails from another 120 to 140, which we have yet to process,? Brown says.
Celebration Studios says it is closing due to financial problems. The company says anyone who is owed photos or videos will get them. However, hundreds of couples say they paid for services, but have yet to receive a final product.
The attorney for Celebration Studios insists the company never intended to hurt anyone. He says the business simply failed and will soon file for bankruptcy protection.
