A home health worker is accused of abusing a 91-year-old woman who was under her care in Denville.
According to a criminal complaint, Carla Caraballo, 58, failed to help the woman with basic tasks like walking.
Caraballo, of Plainfield, allegedly threatened to leave the women on the floor all night if she fell. In one instance, authorities say the worker left the woman on the floor for a prolonged period of time after she fell. The elderly woman suffered a head injury.
The incidents were caught on surveillance camera, according to police.
Caraballo appeared before a Morris County judge Monday to face the charges.
