A salute to health care workers in East Orange happened Tuesday after a holiday caravan passed by East Orange General Hospital and the VA Hospital.

The small gesture is a big thank you to those on the front lines.

"During the first round, we had an opportunity to come over here and thank all our first responders and here we are again during the second round of this and they're still doing what they have to do to help people come to work,” says Mayor Ted Green.

The mayor, city council, and Department of Public Safety all put on the event.
