Gov. Murphy signed a series of bills Thursday to strengthen New Jersey's elections.
One of the new reforms allows minors to serve as election workers on election days. It also makes changes to early and mail-in voting procedures with early canvassing of mail-in ballots.
Another of the bills reduces the potential for fraud by prohibiting unaffiliated mail-in voters from receiving a mail-in ballot for the primary election.
"I am proud to sign legislation that will make democracy more accessible, more transparent, and stronger in our state,” said Murphy. “New Jersey will continue to move forward as we ensure that the democratic process is secure and protected."
