Gov. Phil Murphy visited Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge this morning, where the elderly residents received their second COVID-19 vaccine doses.
State Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli was on hand as long-term care residents and staff at the center received their second doses.
“The second dose brings your immunity up to 95%,” says Persichilli.
Persichilli says for people who have registered for a vaccine, but do not know when they can get one to remain patient as the state continues to rely on the federal government for additional doses.
Persichilli says New Jersey is expecting 100,000 doses a week for the next several weeks.
