Gov. Phil Murphy and state officials discuss the latest updates on the coronavirus crisis in New Jersey.
The statewide total number of coronavirus cases in New Jersey now stands at 47,437 cases, after Gov. Phil Murphy just announced 3,088 new cases. The governor also announced 275 additional deaths, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,504.

- Gov. Murphy announces 275 additional deaths from COVID-19-related complications.
 - The governor acknowledges some of the deceased.
 
 - The governor says that it will take some time before things can go back to "normal."
 - Sen. Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi call for an additional $150 billion in direct financial assistance.
 - Gov. Murphy signs several executive orders to further enhance social distancing efforts.
- All non-essential construction is ordered to cease by 8 p.m. Friday.
 - Retail stores, especially grocery stores, must limit customers to 50% of approved capacity. Customers and employees must wear face coverings.
 - Trucks hauling COVID-19 relief supplies can have heavier loads.
 - New Jersey's primary elections have been moved from June 2 to July 7.
 - New Jersey still needs additional medical volunteers.
 - The governor announces efforts to increase hospital bed capacity.
