A water main break in a Weehawken neighborhood was just one of the many headaches residents have been dealing with for what seems like a never-ending arctic blast.
The broken main along Hauxhurst Avenue sent water gushing onto the street, which quickly turned into a sheet of ice.
North Bergen police also tweeted a photo of cars completely frozen over after another water main break.  Police say once the pipe burst, the water sprayed and ended up on the cars in the street. It wasn't long before the water froze over, leaving the cars encased in ice and drivers stranded for hours. It also disrupted water service for about 60 customers.
Relief may be just around the corner. This week, temperatures are expected to rise to the mid- and upper-40s.
