A former Rutgers University student is facing charges for allegedly stabbing a professor and a student at Rutgers Business School.
Joshua Thompson, 25, of Mountainside, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and weapons charges.
Police say Thompson stabbed a professor and a student on the Livingston College campus Friday afternoon. He then apparently used the knife on himself following the stabbings.
Thompson and the two victims remain at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. One of the victims is reportedly in critical condition. Authorities have not released the victims' names.
Grief counselors were brought in to Rutgers for any student who needed them following the attack.
Thompson's bail was set at $1 million.
A motive for the attack was not immediately released. Anyone who may have any information about the attack is asked to contact the Rutgers University Police Department at 732-932-7211.
