Those looking to extend their Fourth of July celebrations could do so Monday night in Middlesex County.
A fireworks display took place at Donaldson Park in Highland Park over the Raritan River.
The event was originally scheduled for Thursday but was postponed due to the weather.
People were urged to show up early since some roads were closed in the area ahead of the show.
The borough also held a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the park for those who still need to get vaccinated.
A similar event was held at Boyd Park in New Brunswick. There was live music ahead of the fireworks.
