A fire tore through an East Orange home early this morning leaving a dozen people without a place to live.
Authorities say the fire broke out at around 12:30 a.m. in a three-family home on South Burnett Street.
East Orange fire officials say firefighters were pushed back during the initial attack due to high heat and collapses.
Twelve people inside the home were able to escape the fire due to working smoke alarms.
