A former Somerset County high school teacher accused of sending nude photos and explicit messages to a male student has pleaded guilty to child endangerment.
Prosecutors will recommend that former Montgomery High School teacher Michelina Aichele serve about a year in the county jail when she's sentenced in July. The 30-year-old Hillsborough resident pleaded guilty Wednesday. She must also register as a sex offender and surrender her teaching certificate.
Aichele was charged last October after Montgomery Township school officials contacted authorities. That came after another student told the officials about Aichele’s relationship with the 16-year-old male student.
The victim told authorities that Aichele had sexual conversations with him through social media and email.
Authorities say Aichele used her school email address to send sexually explicit messages.
The Associated Press wire services contributed to this report.
