Two former Jefferson Township High School students were arrested in connection with the vandalism that crippled the school bus system last June.
Police say the two suspects cut a hole in a fence to gain access to the bus depot. According to police, the two then let the air out of the front tires of 26 school buses. More than 3,000 students were stranded and the board of education was forced to cancel classes for the day.
Wade Salisbury was arrested for the vandalism and is currently out on $25,000 bond. Police say Travis Leucht, who is attending classes at West Virginia University, will turn himself in when he returns to New Jersey. Both men are 19 years old. They are both charged with criminal mischief, interference with transportation and criminal trespass.
