A woman from Eatontown has been charged with animal cruelty for allegedly torturing and mutilating her 6-month-old kitten.
The Monmouth County SPCA says that Jessica Nusbaum, 30, confessed to holding the kitten over the bathtub and using scissors to cut the feline from her head to the tip of her tail.
Authorities say a neighbor found the cat in a trash can and took it to a vet. The kitten was treated and has survived the ordeal. Nusbaum says she was angry at the animal for urinating on the floor.
