The 10-year-old boy who was struck by an SUV in Elizabeth Monday afternoon is in critical but stable condition.
A spokesperson for the Elizabeth Police Department says that the boy was trying to cross West Jersey Street when he was struck by a Dodge Durango. Police believe the boy came out from between two parked cars and that the driver of the SUV did not see him.
The driver stayed at the scene and will not be charged, according to police.
