It was a dreary start to the work week in the Garden State as remnants from soaked the state with heavy rain.
The weather system also brought string wind, causing the National Weather Service to issue a coastal flood advisory.
The ocean off the coast of Keyport was very rough and boats at the marina were seen rocking back and forth in the rough surf.
Most New Jersey residents opted to stay indoors because of the wet and stormy conditions.
The winds are expected to die down by the overnight hours, but the rain will continue in some capacity through Tuesday afternoon.
