The 2015 Hess Toy Trucks are now available at participating malls across the country.
In New Jersey, the trucks are available at the Paramus Park Mall, Woodbridge Center Mall, Willowbrook Mall and Cherry Hill Mall.
Dozens of Hess enthusiasts stood in line Thursday at the Woodbridge Center Mall for a chance to buy the toys. This year they are only available for purchase at malls and online.
Hess Toy Trucks General Manager Justin Mayer says that the trucks represent tradition and a connection to family.
"If you talk to folks, they'll tell you, it's about who I give it to, and for the gift recipient it's about who gave it to you," he says. "It's that bond around the holiday time that's so special."
One hundred lucky fans will unwrap a special silver 2015 edition instead of this year's truck.
