Dina Matos faces cross-examination in divorce trial
Former Gov. James McGreevey's estranged wife answered questions under cross-examination Thursday about her contributions to his campaign and her ability to earn money afterhis resignation.
In exchanges that are, at times, testy, McGreevey lawyer Stephen Haller tried to suggest Dina Matos had a minor role getting her husband elected.
Haller also asked whether she still considers herself the state's first lady. Matos says she believes she must conduct herself in a certain way having held the position.
The line of questioning comes after Matos answered questions by her lawyer reviewing the perks and privileges that she enjoyed when McGreevey was in office.
She says she now lives frugally since leaving the governor's mansion four years ago.
