Residents in Oak Ridge have been calling for the state to step in to help "Pedals," a bear often seen in town walking on its two hind legs. Residents even created a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to get the animal medical care. So far over $23,000 has been raised.
Monday, the Department of Environmental Protection announced that it is willing to step in to help the bear. The agencies are asking for the public's help in finding it.
Anyone who has seen the bipedal bear is asked to contact the DEP.
