There were some scary moments for a horse in Passaic County who got stuck on a damaged bridge.
Hank the horse was out for one of his usual walks over a bridge at Garret Mountain when his hoof slipped through one of the boards. The bridge was damaged in the recent storms.
The 16-year-old horse was stuck for about two hours before he was freed. He was not hurt.
"He was super cool through the whole thing. Hank is a really laid-back guy. So he was kind of just stuck there and like, ‘Come on guys, help me get out of here,’” says Elite Equine Group owner Sarah Martinez. “He was super mellow the whole time and he did great. A super cool dude through it all."
Someone was riding Hank when he fell through the board. The rider was not hurt.
