Commuters threaten 'No Pay May' protest on NJ Transit
Commuters are threatening a 'No Pay May' protest against the New Jersey Transit.
After several service delays in April, protesters are urging commuters to show their April train passes to conductors instead of buying May passes.
NJ Transit responded to the protest by saying, "As everyone here can appreciate, this is a very complicated request, NJ Transit is in a unique position because providing transit is expensive and a fare covers only a fraction of the cost. In our history, decisions to waive fares and refund consideration go through a very thoughtful, deliberate and careful review."
