(AP) - Gov. Chris Christie says he doesn't feel wealthy despite the fact he and his wife reported nearly $700,000 in income in 2013.
The potential Republican presidential contender appeared Monday evening on his monthly New Jersey 101.5 FM "Ask the Governor" radio program.
Christie's office announced last week his wife had resigned from her high-paying Wall Street job. The move was widely seen as a sign Christie is getting closer to an announcement.
The governor also brushed off news his once-close friend state Sen. Joe Kyrillos (kuh-RIHL'-us) is endorsing one of his likely rivals, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
Christie says he got no heads-up from Kyrillos about the decision but doesn't take it personally.
He says he'll make up his mind in May or June.
