You may be wondering what is happening in most New Jersey homes on Christmas Day.

It turns out that many New Jerseyans are Googling “eggnog alcohol recipes. It is the Garden State’s most-Googled term on Christmas Day, according to internet provider Satellite Internet.

The company released a list of what each state is Googling on Christmas. The most-Googled term in the U.S. was Netflix – the top search in 12 states. Other states were searching for retailer shopping hours, Christmas Songs and Christmas memes.

But not New Jersey. New Jersey is looking for ways to take the edge off – perhaps from spending too much time with family members.

To save you the trouble – we Googled some alcoholic eggnog recipes. Many entailed making the eggnog itself from scratch by combining egg yolks, egg whites, sugar, nutmeg, whole milk and heavy cream.

But premade eggnog is typically available in most supermarkets as well.

Brandy is traditionally the spirit added to eggnog. But some may opt to use rum and cognac instead.
