Brick Township police are investigating a possible attempted abduction at the Walmart on Route 88.

Police say an officer was patrolling the parking lot when he was flagged down by a mother who said that a man tried to grab the wrist of her 10-year-old son inside the store.

The man apparently left the store after the boy pulled his arm away.

Police say that the suspect is an older, white man with white and gray hair. He is about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, according to police.
