Body camera video captured a couple of quick-thinking Trenton police officers as they saved a man who wanted to kill himself.
Back on July 13, officers Richard Agabiti and Richard Gonzalez received a call about a man sitting on a ledge.
That call led them to the Lincoln Avenue Bridge.
When the officers arrived, they observed a male on top of the ledge with his feet hanging off the side over the active train tracks and live electrical wires.
"This is just one example of the extraordinary work that our police officers perform day in and day out,” says Trenton Police Director Pedro Medina. “I commend these officers for their quick and decisive actions that averted what could have become a tragedy."
The man was transported by Trenton Emergency Medical Services to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
