The U.S. Navy Blue Angels took a break from flying to hang out with kids at an East Meadow hospital.

The group of elite pilots surprised patients in the pediatric unit at Nassau University Medical Center. They sported their iconic blue and gold colors.

The pilots spoke with children about their adventurous stunts in the sky that dazzle crowds nationwide.

The Blue Angels were formed in 1946 to boost morale and raise awareness about the U.S. Navy's aviation abilities.
