Court documents indicate the Bergen County judge under investigation for lip-syncing profane lyrics on TikTok says it was “harmless and innocent fun.”

Superior Court Judge Gary Wilcox is being investigated for 40 videos he posted on the app, where he is said to have used an alias.

In the videos, some songs featured lyrics referencing violence, sex or misogyny. Some of the videos were posted from inside the courthouse, with Wilcox wearing his judicial robes.

Court papers say Wilcox never intended the public at large to see the videos, even though his account was public.
