A house fire has left a Passaic County family of three without a place to stay.

West Milford officials say that the fire started Monday around 8:45 p.m. at 1413 Macopin Road. The heavy fire and colder temperatures caused fire officials to request backup from neighboring towns.

The fire was brought under control just after 11 p.m.

The fire severely damaged the home, displacing the family. There were no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
