Anonymous donor pays off mortgage for Madonna House
Prayers have been answered for the founder of a Roman Catholic charitable organization at the Jersey Shore after a generous donor paid off the $130,000 mortgage.
Madonna House, a non-profit that gives clothes, toys, baby supplies and more to poor women and children, has been struggling financially for years. It nearly closed several times due to a lack of funds, and was again near foreclosure.
The female donor from the Jersey Shore wants to remain anonymous, but News 12 learned she received an inheritance and wanted to share it with the non-profit.
Madonna House takes no government funding, relying solely on donations and money made from its thrift store up front.
