Business and restaurant owners in Red Bank are preparing to reopen as part of phase two Monday.

The Borough of Red Bank is allowing businesses to temporarily expand onto sidewalks, alleyways, parking lots and driveways to make for safer shopping and dining.

Broad Street and Monmouth Street will also be temporarily closed to allow for more outdoor space.
Louis Andrianos, owner of Neapoli Italian Kitchen on Wallace Street, spent Sunday setting up tables and chairs to accommodate outdoor diners for the first time this season.
Andrianos says he's able to expand thanks to some generous neighbors.
Saxum Real Estate is letting Andrianos use their outdoor space across the street for free, since they are still closed due to the pandemic.
"They have a back parking lot that we will be using. And it should be great because it's a shaded area, right across the street from the restaurant, and we are one-way street so it's pretty safe for our patrons and staff," says Andrianos.
Debra Eisenstein, owner of Aristan Collective, is also ready for a business boom. After shutting her doors for weeks, she can now welcome customers inside.
She says, "Tomorrow is a breath of fresh air literally, to be able to open and to provide an opportunity to help the town and the other small vendors that I have here in selling something other than masks."

The Monmouth County Health Commission is getting rid of some of the red tape to allow restaurants to open outdoor seating in time for Monday.

Restaurants will not need a pre-inspection but will be inspected as normal over the summer.
