Clifton police and the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a fatal shooting outside a liquor store early Friday morning.
Investigators say 21-year-old Leandro Mendoza was closing up the Lexington Liquor store on the 400 block of Lexington Avenue in Clifton when he was shot.
Friends and family gathered outside the shot Friday and set up a memorial with candles and flowers.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with any information about the shooting should contact the Passaic County prosecutor.
