Ridgewood police have announced the 2020 Ridgewood Fourth of July Celebration Parade and Fireworks has been canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic concerns.

Ridgewood police have announced the 2020 Ridgewood Fourth of July Celebration Parade and Fireworks has been canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic concerns.

In a post on Instagram, police say, in part, “The committee made the difficult decision after considering the many aspects of planning, fundraising, staffing, and executing the events amid the public health concerns and economic uncertainty of the next few months.”
While the 110 annual parade and fireworks is suspended, the town is still looking into livestreaming its flag raising ceremony in Wilsey Square at 9 a.m.
According to town leaders, they are looking forward to an "extra special" 2021 celebration.
