Hackensack police say that an 11-year-old boy survived a fall from a seventh-floor balcony onto a roof.
Police say that the boy fell from the balcony of 170 Prospect Ave. and landed on the roof of 160 Prospect Ave., the Pico Tavern. The boy survived the fall and sustained a broken nose and pelvis.
The director of security at the apartment building the boy fell from told News 12 New Jersey that rescue crews had to go to the third floor and take out a window to get to the boy.
The boy is being treated at Hackensack University Medical Center.
