100K ventilators to be distributed in next 100 days, says Trump
BRIEFING UPDATES:
-"Millions" of pieces of equipment have been sent to states, said President Donald Trump.
-Trump issued an executive order that seeks to force General Motors to produce ventilators for coronavirus patients under the Defense Production Act.
-Trump said the task force is working to sign contractors with major ventilator companies.
-29,000 ventilators are delivered each year, said Trump. In the next 100 days, the U.S. will make or get 100,000 additional ventilators to be distributed. 
-Boeing is offering use of its cargo plane, which is the "largest in the world," said Trump, in order to distribute supplies. 
-$2.2 trillion relief package was signed into law by Trump Friday afternoon.
-"We're working on vaccines ... cures," said Trump.
-Free COVID-19 app on iPhone can answer questions about symptoms and whether someone should get tested.
-Trump said he is "in awe" of the American people who have stepped up during this time.
-The U.S. has done more tests than any other country, according to the president.
