1 year later: Breonna Taylor’s mother wants officers held accountable for daughter’s death

Saturday, March 13 marks one year since Breonna Taylor was shot and killed in her own apartment in Louisville, Kentucky.
It was later revelated that Louisville police targeted the wrong apartment unit during their midnight raid. Taylor’s boyfriend said that he mistook police officers for an intruder and started shooting at them. Taylor was killed in the shootout.
One officer was indicted for what happened on that night, but no one was charged in Taylor’s actual death.
News 12’s Della Crews spoke with Taylor’s mother Tamika Palmer about that night and about the social aftermath following Taylor’s death and the death of George Floyd, which sparked protests and demonstrations across the country.
