Pleasant Tuesday on LI before multiple rain threats over the coming days

Long Island finally gets some sun and dry weather Tuesday, but it won't stick around for too long.
Expect partly sunny skies and highs into the low-60s for Tuesday -- but clouds could increase and decrease greatly over the course of the day.
For Wednesday, it'll start off partly sunny, but late-day showers are possible. Highs could reach the mid-60s.
More moderate rain could be in the cards Thursday into Friday. The precipitation could be heavy at times. Thursday's temps will only reach the low-50s.
By the time the rain tapers off Friday, up to 2 inches could be possible on the Island. Highs will remain in the lower-50s.
The weekend is shaping up to be nicer, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the upper-50s to lower-60s both days.
