A Burlington County power washing company is doing its part to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Medford-based Revive Painting and Powerwashing have volunteered to clean the shopping carts of some of the supermarkets in the area, to disinfect them.
“We soak them down with a cleaning solution. Then we let it dwell. Then we brush them and use high heat to clean them up,” says co-owner Tom Davis.

David’s company has cleaned the carts at Murphy’s Fresh Markets in Tabernacle and Medford and the Medford ShopRite.
“We just wanted to do something to help and it was the only thing we could think of,” he says.
The volunteerism sparked others to join the cause. O’Brien’s Landscaping is also jumping in to help.
“I know they’re overwhelmed with people flooding the stores, trying to stock up, especially in the beginning,” says owner Austin O’Brien. “Their big concern is sanitizing everything. They’re working like crazy to keep the inside clean. So, it’s nice to be able to give them a hand.”

Murphy’s Fresh Market is one of the grocery stores that has opened a bit early in the morning for senior citizens, who are at greater risk from the virus.
“We all have grandparents, we all have older parents, and to be able to help that generation that’s helped us, helped raise us, it’s a good feeling,” O’Brien says.
Revive Painting and Powerwashing says Del-Vel Chemicals, another Medford company, has stepped up to donate all the sanitizing solution used to clean the grocery carts.
