A refrigerated cart used to distribute ice cream at no charge to Bridgeport kids is stolen, and its owner is asking for the public’s help to get it back.
Artney Shaw told News 12 that he's been passing out free frozen treats for years at local ball games and other events as his way of giving back to the community.
But he says somebody made off with the cart last week.
“By stealing this icy cart, they didn't just steal from me, they stole from all the kids that I help," says Shaw.
Shaw says he would like to get the $650 cart back, but he won't be surprised if it's not returned. He's started a fund to replace it.
