New Yorkers are coming together to denounce the wave of recent shooting incidents across the city.
Demonstrators rallied outside Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office and called for peace Wednesday, saying they want to hold elected officials accountable.
The community is remembering NYPD Officers Jason Rivera and Wilbert Mora, who were killed in the line of duty.
Organizers and members of the clergy are calling for elected officials to crack down on gun violence.
They are working together and are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of gun smugglers.
News 12 reached out to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for comment regarding his stance on crime policies and hasn’t heard back yet.
Organizers say they will continue to honor Rivera and Mora. They say they are planning a vigil on Sunday outside the 32nd Precinct.
