Oh, Christmas tree! Tree shortages could impact the holidays

You were warned about turkey shortages and higher prices for your Thanksgiving dinner. Now brace yourself for a possible Christmas tree shortage.
Thanksgiving may not be here, but people are already beginning to decorate for Christmas. If you are one of those people, you may want to start shopping now.
“There is a shortage of trees,” says Down to Earth Living owner Stuart Leventhal.
Supply chain issues are creating tree shortages and higher prices for real and artificial trees.
Leventhal says real trees will cost $10 more at his Pomona store.
"There are fewer people growing trees and consumption, specifically of Frasier firs, has increased,” says Leventhal.
Increased shipping costs of artificial trees from China have caused prices to go up 20%.
