NYPD: 1 dead, 4 injured in overnight Castle Hill crash; driver in custody

Police say it happened just before 1 a.m. when a 2011 Lincoln crashed into a 2017 Infiniti Q60.

A 27-year-old woman was killed and four others were injured in an overnight crash in Castle Hill.
Police say it happened just before 1 a.m. when a 2011 Lincoln crashed into a 2017 Infiniti Q60 on Castle Hill Avenue.
Investigators say there were three people inside the Lincoln and two in the Infiniti.
News 12 was told Dorilys Ramos was the passenger in the Infiniti and pronounced dead on the scene. The four others involved in the crash were transported to New York Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
A woman who says she's the mother of the driver of the Infiniti says he is an off-duty police officer who was driving with his girlfriend.
Police say the driver of the Lincoln was put into police custody, but did not release any details surrounding pending charges.
